Enterprise to debut electric cars in January 2011
05 August 2010
At
Edinburgh rental car we offer you the ability to rent vehicles all over the world not just in the Scottish capital. That's why we have a keen interest in car hire news throughout the globe and not just locally.
It has been announced that Enterprise will be adding electric powered vehicles, in the form the new Nissan Leaf, to it's fleet of rental cars. In January 2011, Enterprise will have received 500 of the Japanese electric cars and will be following that up with orders of alternative electric vehicles.
At launch, the new eco friendly cars will be available in selected US locations such as Phoenix, Los Angeles, Nashville and San Diego amongst others. As an additional note, Enterprise will be installing charging stations for these vehicles at selected locations.
Could this be something we will see coming to the UK shortly after January 2011? We'll have to wait and see.
